Arctic Business Network
- transatlantic business network in the Arctic
Arctic Business Network focuses on co-operation and development
In Arctic Business Network, a number of companies from Greenland and North Jutland co-operate in a wide range of business areas.
Arctic Business Network was founded in 2007, on the basis of the fact that the Port of Aalborg has for many years provided the starting point for the transportation of goods to Greenland. This co-operation has since expanded to encompass a wide range of business activities for companies in North Jutland and Greenland.
The development of Arctic Business Network really began to gather pace in 2009, with the publication of a comprehensive report entitled "Analysis and Report on Business Conditions in Greenland" and a business seminar on 20 August. Both events provided the foundation for the terms of reference and organisational structure that underpins the business network today. Developments since the business seminar have underlined that the network is a transatlantic network linking companies in Greenland and North Jutland.
Aims of Arctic Business Network:
• Business development among the member companies
• Establishment of development projects among companies and relevant stakeholders
